Started by Saloni’s Grand Father (Mr. C L Gattani) & his brothers to trade in Loose tea across India (2nd Generation in Tea Business)
1960Own brand setup in Rajasthan
Mr. C L Gattani Started direct sales to Wholesalers & end users through the first store in Sadulpur, Churu and got to know more about the retail tea users and their requirements. He used to sell loose tea (CTC) in remote villages of Churu, Rajasthan on his Bicycle. He still has his Bicycle and keeps that in his outhouse.
1966Blending & Branding
Started by Mr. Pawan Gattani (Saloni’s Father & 3rd Generation Tea Entrepreneur) under the brand name “Gattani Teas” with a small blending facility in Churu, Rajasthan.
1990Growth Phase
With 3 offices (Sadulpur, Kolkata & Siliguri) and tea blending facilities of ~4000 sq ft, our family brand "Gattani teas" is growing with sales of ~5 lakhs+ tea cups daily. Gattani Teas is focused on CTC and is trusted by millions of users.
2020New Beginnings by Saloni
Incorporation of “Poetry” by Saloni (4th Generation Tea Entrepreneur) with the objective to provide a high-quality tea experience for everyone with a presence across the globe. We started our India operations and selling online through the marketplaces like Amazon, Flipkart and our own website.

Offline Presence in Mumbai
Poetry Teas is now proudly available in 300+ stores in the western suburbs of Mumbai (From Andheri to Borivali) and expanding its footprint by adding almost 50 stores every week with help of the distributor channel.
Along with D2C and distributor channels, we are also serving various corporates (including MNCs) for their gifting solutions.
